(WTAJ) \u2014 The Pennsylvania Department of Labor &amp; Industry announced a $250k investment in the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science &amp; Technology Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The investment is part of a $4.1 million investment in \u201cSchools-to-Work\u201d and Pre-Apprenticeships pathways across Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Schools-to-Work, established in January 2023 by the Shapiro Administration, supports 52 programs statewide and 2,295 students with personalized training, instruction and apprenticeship opportunities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The $250k allocated to the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science &amp; Technology, which serves students in Centre, Clinton and Mifflin Counties, will be used to start apprenticeships in automation and instrumentation linked to mechatronics.<\/p>\n<p>Get the latest news, weather forecasts and sports stories delivered straight to your inbox!
