{"id":128842,"date":"2026-03-03T23:08:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T23:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/128842\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T23:08:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T23:08:12","slug":"new-businesses-announced-for-broadcast-district-in-berks-reading-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/128842\/","title":{"rendered":"New businesses announced for Broadcast District in Berks | Reading Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SPRING TWP., Pa. \u2014 With dirt moving and heavy equipment on site, many wonder what\u2019s going on at the <a href=\"https:\/\/broadcastdistrict.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broadcast District at Spring Township<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re full steam ahead right now,\u201d said Matt Robinson, senior vice president of mixed-use development at SJC Ventures. \u201cWeather permitting, I think we should see buildings going vertical really at the end of the spring or the beginning of the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Right now, crews are focused on site preparation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce those utilities go in the ground, we can start paving roads and putting in curbs and sidewalks\u2026 and start erecting those buildings,\u201d Robinson said.<\/p>\n<p>Whole Foods Market will anchor the 115,000-square-foot development on Broadcasting Road, between Route 222 and Paper Mill Road. About 15 to 20 other tenants have committed so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to announce that we\u2019re also going to have a Chase Bank, 7 Brew Coffee, Qdoba, Cheddar\u2019s Scratch Kitchen, Hair Cuttery, Laser Away, Luna Nail Lounge, Sleep Number\u2026\u201d Robinson said.<\/p>\n<p>Other tenants that were previously announced include BJ&#8217;s Restaurant and Brewhouse, First Watch, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Shake Shack.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s still about 10,000 square feet left to lease.<\/p>\n<p>Developers said they\u2019re hoping to add pet services, fitness options and possibly another major restaurant.
