\n\t\t\t\t\t\tLive Casino Pittsburgh’s newest restaurant will have a heavy Italian footprint, thanks to a Westmoreland County staple.Mangia featuring DeLallo is set to open in April. “It adds instant credibility to food and beverage here at Live Casino,” Casino General Manager Sean Sullivan said. “We\u2019re always trying to strengthen our community relationships. One of the strongest in the area is DeLallo.”After the casino decided to move on from Guy Fieri\u2019s American Kitchen after 2025, they went to their customers to see what they wanted to fill the space. “We did a survey of our customers,” Sullivan said. “Italian came up very strongly. We thought, ‘Where\u2019s the best Italian in Westmoreland County?’ We went after DeLallo.”The restaurant will be operated by the casino, but supplied by the Italian Market. “This is a Live Casino project, if you will, with a tremendous partner,” Sullivan said. “We have a relationship where they\u2019ll provide us with the product, the recipes, and the goods that we\u2019ll sell in the market component.””Pastas, pizzas, hoagies, you name it, I believe we\u2019ll have it,” said Matthew Schropp, the Casino\u2019s food and beverage director. “We\u2019ll have a ton of menu items. Some you\u2019ve already seen over at DeLallo\u2019s now. There will be others that\u2019ll be brand new and featured here in Mangia. Many of our food items will feature items that you can purchase at DeLallo\u2019s.”A spokesperson for DeLallo provided this statement to Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4:DeLallo has been a family-owned company for more than 75 years. That\u2019s bringing the kitchen from the back to the front. We\u2019re building the market. This tile was air shipped from China.”The changes should make for faster service for players. “Anywhere from 10-20 minutes or so,” Schropp said. “It\u2019ll be a little faster than your traditional restaurant. There\u2019ll be a small retail market in the front featuring all of the things you know and love from DeLallo\u2019s. You\u2019ll know it\u2019s fresh. You\u2019ll see the Mangia van driving from DeLallo\u2019s here to Live Casino.”The casino staff is excited to bring the beloved qualities of the Jeannette market down Route 30. “I remember growing up, walking into DeLallo\u2019s, and leaving with a pepperoni roll,” Schropp said. “I have an Italian background myself. It was a staple to have a DeLallo product around your table on a Sunday while you cooked. I can\u2019t wait to bring that to life here.””When you get all of the accouterments in here, it\u2019ll be fantastic,” Sullivan added.
