ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A juvenile is facing serious charges after allegedly making a bomb threat against an Allentown middle school.<\/p>\n
Just before noon today, officers from Allentown Police Department responded to Trexler Middle School for a report of a bomb threat.<\/p>\n
Police, along with the Allentown Fire Department, conducted a sweep of the school<\/p>\n
using a police canine team trained to detect explosive devices.<\/p>\n
Following an extensive search of the building and grounds, police say no suspicious packages were located.<\/p>\n
The investigation determined the bomb threat to be a hoax, and a juvenile male student was identified as the suspect who made the threat.<\/p>\n
