He slashed slashed .303\/.410\/.528 with 10 extra-base hits including four home runs in 24 games with Triple-A Louisville to start the season. <\/p>\n<p>Callihan, who was ranked as Cincinnati\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/milb\/prospects\/reds\/tyler-callihan-682997\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">19th-best prospect by MLB Pipeline<\/a> prior to the trade, offers plenty of versatility with 270 games at second base, 62 at third, 18 at first and 25 in left field in his minor-league career. He played three games in left and one at second base for the Reds last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Pirates had been looking to add a position player ahead of the start of the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>Nicolas combined for 86 relief appearances with the Pirates from 2023-25 and went 3-4 with a 4.68 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 98 innings.
