The man accused of secretly recording girls as they changed<\/a> in a Pennsylvania clothing store’s dressing room in December has been identified and charged, officials said. <\/p>\n

It was right after Christmas on Dec. 30, 2025, when police said that teen girls were trying on clothes at the Plato’s Closet in Exton when they noticed a phone come under the dressing room divider and snap photos of them. <\/p>\n

West Whiteland Township police later released surveillance images of a suspect in a gray puffy coat and asked for the public\u2019s help in identifying him.<\/p>\n

Ever since, officials said that tips came in and they were able to not just identify a suspect but they found critical evidence inside his home. <\/p>\n

The man was identified as Eric Hart of Coatesville. <\/p>\n

Police said they reached out to Hart on Jan. 2 and he told them that he “was baffled” by the allegations. <\/p>\n

According to police, the witnesses were very detailed as to what they saw that day in December and described seeing a cell phone in a black case. <\/p>\n

When Hart’s Coatesville home was searched in January, police found a cell phone behind a desk in the basement that had been turned off before they found it, according to court documents. <\/p>\n

Once the phone was examined, photos were discovered on it of the victims in the dressing room.<\/p>\n

The data on the device placed it at the Plato’s Closet on Dec. 30 between 3:13 p.m. and 3:17 p.m. which is similar to the time frame of the surveillance images from the store. <\/p>\n

“They came out, they said something,” West Whiteland Township Police Detective Sergeant Jeffrey McCloskey said. “The male that was with them was able to point somebody out. They weren’t afraid to say something.”<\/p>\n

Hart is facing invasion of privacy charges and is scheduled to appear in court next month. <\/p>\n
