The\u202fUniversity of Scranton\u2019s University of Success, a four-year,\u202fpre-college mentorship program, is\u202fnow accepting applications for\u202fthe upcoming 2026\u00a0academic year that begins this summer. It is open to students currently in eighth grade.<\/p>\n
The University of Success is an academic, social and cultural enrichment program funded entirely by corporate and\u00a0foundations\u00a0grants, so there is no charge to students and their families. The program’s goal\u202fis to\u00a0assist\u00a0first-generation, college-bound students to successfully complete high school and gain entrance into a college or university. Last year’s freshman class included students<\/a> who’s graduated eighth grade from All Saints Academy, Northeast Intermediate School, North Pocono Intermediate School, West Scranton Intermediate School, South Scranton Intermediate School, Riverside Junior High School, Carbondale Area Junior High School, Abington Heights Middle School and Dunmore Junior High School.<\/p>\n Accepted students will begin the program with a residential summer academy,\u00a0which will be held at The University of Scranton’s campus from\u00a0Sunday,\u00a0July\u00a012,\u00a0to\u00a0Tuesday,\u00a0July\u00a021.
