ALBURTIS, Pa. – A Macungie man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to charges that he provided pills that caused a fatal overdose in 2022, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nathaniel Tilahun, 29, pleaded guilty Feb. 2, 2026 to a felony charge of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tilahun was sentenced Friday to serve 5 to 15 years in state prison followed by 5 years of probation, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At 11:37 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2022, Alburtis Police were called to 53 W. 2nd St. for an unresponsive person, the DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
Caylin Strong, 23, who lived at the home, was pronounced dead, according to authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Strong died from fentanyl toxicity and her death was ruled accidental by the Lehigh County Coroner.<\/p>\n
An investigation revealed that Strong received pills sold by Tilahun, according to officials.<\/p>\n
Although the pills were supposed to be Percocet, the fake pills contained a fatal amount of fentanyl, according to the DA’s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The DA’s office said that this investigation should serve as a reminder of the dangers of buying what is believed to be prescription medication from any unauthorized source.<\/p>\n
