{"id":132910,"date":"2026-03-08T15:41:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T15:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/132910\/"},"modified":"2026-03-08T15:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T15:41:08","slug":"pennsylvania-court-officials-warn-of-new-unpaid-toll-text-scam-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/132910\/","title":{"rendered":"Pennsylvania court officials warn of new unpaid toll text scam \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Court officials are warning of another Pennsylvania Turnpike toll text scam. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Philadelphia Courts warned residents on Saturday of texts with an image of a document that appears to be from the Traffic Division of Philadelphia Municipal Court, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/philadelphia-courts-issues-fraud-alert-text-scam\/4364794\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/philadelphia-courts-issues-fraud-alert-text-scam\/4364794\/\">NBC News affiliate WCAU reports.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">That document claims that the person who received the text failed to pay a toll and must either appear in court or pay a fine. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Residents in the Pittsburgh area have reported to Channel 11 that they\u2019ve received the scam texts.
