The Flyers are trying to win four consecutive games for the first time in over two years Thursday when they host the Mammoth (7 p.m. ET\/NBCSP).<\/p>\n
They’ll have to do so without Travis Konecny and Nick Seeler.<\/p>\n
Konecny was on the ice at morning skate, but he’ll miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury<\/a>. The Flyers’ leading scorer has been considered day to day.<\/p>\n Seeler missed morning skate after suffering a lower-body injury in the Flyers’ 3-2 shootout win<\/a> Monday night over the Maple Leafs. This will be the first game he has missed all season.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old defenseman has been playing a career-high 18:21 minutes per game.<\/p>\n “Great teammate, does a lot of things the right way, plays hard,” Travis Sanheim said. “Obviously we’re going to miss him on the back end and guys have got to step up.”<\/p>\n One guy who stepped up in Toronto was Rasmus Ristolainen. He played 27:14 minutes alongside Sanheim and recorded a plus-1 rating, five shots and two blocked shots.<\/p>\n “I think last game, that’s the best I’ve seen Risto break out pucks,” Sanheim said. “I didn’t have to do a whole lot, he was breaking them out by himself. He has been fun to play with and it’s really easy to work with him.”<\/p>\n For various reasons, Ristolainen is the Flyers’ biggest trade chip leading up to Friday’s 3 p.m. ET deadline<\/a>. The team’s locker room, though, isn’t too wrapped up in the trade buzz. After all, this isn’t new territory for Ristolainen<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I think for some guys, it can be tough mentally to handle,” Sean Couturier said Tuesday. “It just adds pressure, adds maybe a distraction, but overall as a group, it’s not something we talk about. We just focus on playing hockey, playing for one another and try to get wins.
