{"id":134064,"date":"2026-03-10T03:15:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T03:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/134064\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T03:15:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T03:15:08","slug":"contract-details-revealed-for-steelers-deal-with-rico-dowdle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/134064\/","title":{"rendered":"Contract Details Revealed for Steelers Deal with Rico Dowdle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"categories\"><a href=\"https:\/\/steelersnow.com\/steelers-news\/\" rel=\"tag nofollow noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_blank\">Steelers News<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"788\" height=\"444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/10-6-2024-Steelers-v-Cowboys-13641.jpg\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium tpd-force-16x9-aspect-ratio wp-post-image\" alt=\"Pittsburgh Steelers Rico Dowdle\" decoding=\"sync\" loading=\"eager\"   fetchpriority=\"high\"\/>Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle carries the ball against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 6, 2024. &#8212; Ed Thompson \/ Steelers Now\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The contract details have been revealed for the free agent deal agreed to on Monday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and running back <a href=\"https:\/\/steelersnow.com\/tag\/rico-dowdle\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rico Dowdle.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dowdle and the Steelers have agreed to a two-year contract worth $12.25 million, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/aaronwilson_nfl\/status\/2031188355480694840?s=46\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">report by Aaron Wilson of KPRC.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The contract comes in at almost a million dollars per year less than the two-year $14 million deal that former Steelers MVP <a href=\"https:\/\/steelersnow.com\/tag\/kenneth-gainwell\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kenneth Gainwell<\/a> got from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Dowdle was also the more productive player in 2025. In 17 games, he rushed 236 times for 1,076 yards \u2014 a 4.6 yards-per-carry averaged and a 47.9% success rate.
