CHARLOTTE \u2014 The Carolina Panthers made a splash on the first day of free agency in the NFL. <\/p>\n

The Carolina Panthers agreed to terms with former Philadelphia Eagles outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips early Monday afternoon, the team announced. <\/a><\/p>\n

They also agreed to a three-year, $45 million deal with former Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd on Monday night, ESPN is reporting.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter is also reporting that Phillips signed a 4-year, $120 million dollar deal that will have 80 million in guarantees. <\/p>\n

Phillips, 26, has 28 sacks in five seasons in the NFL and was traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Eagles last year. <\/p>\n

The Panthers were 28th in the league in sacks last season with 30.0 and are looking for Phillips to help boost those numbers. <\/p>\n

Lloyd finished last season with 35 solo tackles and five interceptions. <\/p>\n

The Panthers also signed quarterback<\/a> Kenny Pickett to be the backup to Bryce Young. <\/p>\n
