{"id":134970,"date":"2026-03-11T00:47:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T00:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/134970\/"},"modified":"2026-03-11T00:47:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T00:47:07","slug":"philadelphia-chief-deputy-mayor-sincere-harris-resigns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/134970\/","title":{"rendered":"Philadelphia Chief Deputy Mayor Sincer\u00e9 Harris resigns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? <a href=\"#Section1\">Let us know!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Chief Deputy Mayor Sincer\u00e9 Harris, who led Mayor Cherelle Parker\u2019s election campaign and has served as a top aide in her administration, has resigned, Parker announced Tuesday.\n<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, Harris will be \u201ctransitioning to a new career opportunity\u201d in private practice after working in city government under Parker for two years.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be here but for her work\u2014as campaign manager and now as one of my two chief deputy mayors in my administration,\u201d Parker said. \u201cI\u2019ll always be grateful to her. But now it is time for Sincere to pursue her career opportunities outside city government, and I am fully supportive of this decision.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p>Harris was named the executive director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party in 2015 after serving as former Gov. Tom Wolf\u2019s southeast political director during his gubernatorial campaign, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phillytrib.com\/news\/sincer-harris-named-executive-director-of-pa-democrats\/article_1f045bdd-c9e0-559e-a1d1-c37700be2ef2.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Tribune<\/a>.
