Jacqui Greene has a genuine passion for her work and the people she serves. Whether she is negotiating with suppliers, handling sales, calling on customers in the field, setting up AIA credits for architects, or managing her amazing team members, she is happy to be the president of Tile Distributors of America, Wilkes-Barre.<\/p>\n
The businesswoman is grateful to the support of her entire team which includes Sandy H., Alan, Sharon, Thom, Sandy M., Joe, Linda, Zach, Mar Mar, Frankie, Reinor, Braxton, and Roman.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have performed wonderful work throughout the years,\u201d she notes to which she is grateful. \u201cEveryone here really treats this business like it is their own,\u201d she notes.<\/p>\n
Never too busy to drop off grout, thinset, or other tiling materials on her way home from work, Greene says she wants to keep proven successful elements, such as answering the phone, keeping customers communicating with the same team member, and customer service as part of the old fashioned business practices, while maintaining the best possible prices.<\/p>\n
Having graduated from the University of Scranton she earned her BSn and was employed as a Registered Nurse, and worked in hospitals for many years while raising her three boys, Reinor, Braxton, and Roman.<\/p>\n
\u201cTransitioning into the tiling industry became so exciting that it never felt like work, and that remains true today. I absolutely love running Tile Distributors of America,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
Thinking of owning her own business for many years and was often encouraged by her parents, Thomas and Leona Greene, and brothers Kevin Greene and the late Mark Greene. In 2018, she took a bold leap, persevered through challenges, and acquired Tile Distributors of America!<\/p>\n
\u201cI treat people as I would want to be treated, always being truthful, and doing what I say I will do.\u00a0 I absolutely enjoy a calm and peaceful life; therefore, I keep strict boundaries between work and my personal time,\u201d said Greene.<\/p>\n
At her business, Greene strives to meet all her customer\u2019s tiling needs, whether one is a builder, architect, designer, tile installer or home owner.\u00a0 The company offers free design consultation and will deliver to homes, businesses, or job sites.<\/p>\n
Greene would not be where she is today without the abundance of support from her family, friends and colleagues in the tile industry, including her fiance, Tony, and her sons.<\/p>\n
While purchasing this business was a very difficult transition she admits, she surrounded herself with numerous professionals that offered her guidance including her dear friend, Vince Carolan, who navigated her through many turbulent waters.<\/p>\n
The business has received several awards over the years including \u201cBest Tile Distributor.\u201d Greene and her team travel to attend tile shows, and kitchen and bath shows to insure the current trends and every tile for every style is offered at the business.<\/p>\n
The businesswoman is grateful for the advice she receives from her brother, Kevin, who lives in California and has been a builder and contractor his whole life. \u201cHe shares what is trending in some of the most affluent areas of California,\u201d she admits.<\/p>\n
