I can\u2019t get over the illegal part. I\u2019ll fight for every immigrant, refugee that is in process to be an American citizen with us,\u201d said Brezeznski.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThere is a lot of, rightfully so, anger and hurt and fear that is in the community, and I think this ordinance passing helps also protect not just our residents but also our police officers,\u201d said Erie City Council President Tyler Titus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The city will seek to collaborate with other governing bodies in carrying out this ordinance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
