The year prior, July marked the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/news\/its-official-july-2021-was-earths-hottest-month-on-record\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hottest month on record worldwide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Climate change is driving rising temperatures and more record heat. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climate.gov\/news-features\/understanding-climate\/climate-change-global-temperature\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Earth&#8217;s temperature<\/a> has climbed each decade since 1880 by about .14 degrees Fahrenheit, or roughly 2 degrees Fahrenheit total.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stacker.com\/pennsylvania\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stacker<\/a> compiled a ranking of the hottest Marches in Pennsylvania since 1895 using data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncei.noaa.gov\/access\/monitoring\/climate-at-a-glance\/statewide\/time-series\/36\/tavg\/all\/5\/1895-2026?base_prd=true&amp;begbaseyear=1901&amp;endbaseyear=2000\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">National Centers for Environmental Information<\/a>. Rankings are based on the highest average temperature in each month. For each of the hottest months listed below, we&#8217;ve included the average state temperature, state-wide highs and lows for the month, and the total precipitation.<\/p>\n<p>#8.
