{"id":13633,"date":"2025-10-24T12:58:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T12:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/13633\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T12:58:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T12:58:12","slug":"reader-poll-should-housing-be-part-of-neshaminy-malls-renovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/13633\/","title":{"rendered":"Reader Poll: Should Housing Be Part Of Neshaminy Mall&#8217;s Renovation?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 The Neshaminy Mall is relatively empty. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/neshaminy-mall-new-owners-dedicated-development-bedc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The mall was sold last summer to Paramount Realty<\/a>, which currently owns several other malls, including the neighboring Woodhaven Mall.<\/p>\n<p>The entire property, excluding the former Macy\u2019s, was included in the sale and positions this Property as an excellent redevelopment opportunity featuring a high-performing Boscov\u2019s, Barnes &amp; Noble, and a 24-screen AMC Theatre in addition to On The Border and UNO Chicago Grill, which are located outside the mall.<\/p>\n<p>Fusion Gyms had planned a state-of-the-art gym and fitness center at the shuttered Macy&#8217;s Department Store, but the mayor said recently that those plans fell through.<\/p>\n<p>Plans called for a vast fitness center with a 9-hole golf course, 30 golf simulators, 20 pickleball courts, and a Las Vegas-style swimming pool. Outside, there would have been another eight pickleball courts.<\/p>\n<p>One can look at the nearby Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown Township, which gutted parts of the mall to create luxury apartments that opened this year.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about housing being part of the mix for the redevelopment of the Neshaminy Mall.
