(WPVI) &#8212; Police have suspended the search for a man they say ran into the Lehigh River on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officials say the man had just been served an arrest warrant when he fled from law enforcement into the river in Northampton Borough in Northampton County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Crews searched for about six hours before calling off the effort.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The search could resume if they get new information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Authorities have not released the man&#8217;s identity.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
