A new store for clothing, shoes and custom designs has found new life after its recent grand opening and \u201crebirth\u201d at the Palmer Park Mall.<\/p>\n

Nestly\u2019s Treasures Boutique opened its new storefront March 7 next to Snipes at the mall, owner Vanessa Prince said, joining the nearby kiosk she opened at the mall in January 2024.<\/p>\n

Prince described the store\u2019s merchandise as higher quality but still affordable, including jackets, vests, sweaters, necklaces, bracelets, purses and sunglasses.<\/p>\n

She has also added her own custom designs to the majority of her goods using items like rhinestones and metallic markers \u2014 she has painted \u201cHappy Birthday\u201d on shirts, and she has designed the Miami skyline on the back of a jacket. She\u2019ll do designs for customers\u2019 orders as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a talent that I just \u2026 it\u2019s just natural,\u201d she said. \u201cI didn\u2019t learn it, I just \u2026 I always love to paint and I was like, \u2018Wow, I could mimic this image or draw my own flowers,\u2019 you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

Originally from New York and now a Forks Township resident, Prince said she previously worked for 24 years in the corporate world.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I, a year and a half ago, let go of my career because this just felt right,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was amazing that I could afford to let go of that career and this is actually supporting me. So with that said, it\u2019s like \u2026 I love the catering. Like I used to only make my own stuff. So when I wear it and I\u2019m at the mall, they\u2019re like, \u2018What is that? That\u2019s a vest? Did you do that? I want one.\u2019 So it started off as, \u2018OK, I could do one for you. Bring in your vest or whatever, and I\u2019ll do it.\u2019 And then it just escalated from there.\u201d<\/p>\n

She began Nestly\u2019s as an online business in 2013 before she opened a storefront in 2023 in Tatamy, which she said closed the following year due to the overhead costs and inadequate location \u2014 but she kept the sign and displays.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t regret that I had to close it because I didn\u2019t know anyone from the area and I was a new business,\u201d Prince said. \u201cSo the people that I met over there, that visited my store and supported me, followed me to the mall \u2026 I didn\u2019t give up. I just downsized and started over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Prince intends to eventually host events such as live music from her husband Audley (professionally known as Young Prince) and workshops where people can customize their own apparel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just love the feedback \u2026 they\u2019re happy about what I created for them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Prince said the hours for Nestly\u2019s Treasures Boutique are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. all week.<\/p>\n
