READING, Pa. – The Reading police have identified the suspect in the city’s latest homicide, that being the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy last month.<\/p>\n

Authorities announced Tuesday that they have charged Robert Saintkitts with first- and-third-degree murder in the death of Francisco Soto Jr. in the area of North 10th and Buttonwood streets on Feb. 23.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We still don’t know motive at this point, but they were in the same location. said RPD Capt. Cheryl Pentheny. “Saintkitts chased the victim west on Buttonwood Street.”<\/p>\n

Saintkitts should be considered armed and dangerous, Pentheny said.<\/p>\n

The police are asking anyone with information about Saintkitts or the homicide to call the Reading Police Department at 610-655-6116.<\/p>\n

Tips can also be sent anonymously through Crime Alert Berks County<\/a> by texting a tip to 847411, starting the message with keyword alertberks, or by calling 877-373-9913. A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.<\/p>\n
