The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> are bringing back their touchdown leader from 2025.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN<\/a>, the Eagles and tight end Dallas Goedert have agreed on a new one-year, $7 million contract.<\/p>\n

The deal will keep Goedert in Philadelphia through the upcoming 2026 season, which will be Goedert\u2019s ninth as a member of the Eagles since the team selected him in the second round (49th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

The deal reportedly includes a\u00a04.25 million signing bonus. By getting the deal done when they did,\u00a0the Eagles avoided a dead-cap hit of over $20 million that would’ve triggered when Goedert’s existing contract expired on Monday.<\/p>\n

Given Goedert’s productive play, the $7 million price tag on the new deal is a\u00a0 very reasonable rate.\u00a0In 2025, Goedert caught 60 passes for 591 yards and a team-leading 11 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are probably now set at the tight end position for next season. In addition to Goedert, the team also brought back Grant\u00a0Calcaterra<\/a> on a one-year deal and signed veteran\u00a0Johnny Mundt in free agency.<\/p>\n
