The Eagles have agreed to a one-year, $7million deal with Dallas Goedert to keep the tight end in Philadelphia for a ninth season.<\/p>\n

Goedert – whose new contract includes a reported signing bonus of $4.25m – has been with the Eagles since being selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

He helped Nick Sirianni’s team win Super Bowl<\/a> LIX against the Kansas<\/a> City Chiefs and was a crucial weapon for Jalen Hurts<\/a> in 2025.<\/p>\n

The tight end finished the season with 591 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Only Rams wide receiver Davante Adams (14) scored more regular season receiving touchdowns than Goedert.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN, the Eagles and the tight end had previously agreed to push back the void date of his previous contract to Monday.<\/p>\n

Had that deadline passed without an agreement, the Eagles would have been forced to take a dead money charge of more than $20m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old tight end finished last season with 591 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns<\/p>\n

Twelve months ago – as Goedert entered the final season of a four-year, $57m deal –\u00a0the 31-year-old was the subject of trade speculation. In the end, the two sides negotiated a reworked deal worth up to $11m.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, trade talks over\u00a0Eagles<\/a> wide receiver AJ Brown have reportedly been reduced to a faint murmur<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both the Los Angeles<\/a> Rams and New England Patriots<\/a> are said to be interested in Brown, whose apparent displeasure in Philadelphia was running storyline throughout 2025. But The Athletic<\/a>\u00a0reports no trade is imminent.<\/p>\n

At least for now, the Rams appear to be out of the running for the three-time All-Pro after focusing their assets on defense.<\/p>\n

Just last week, LA swapped its first-round, fifth-round and sixth-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft as well as the team’s third rounder in 2027 for Kansas<\/a> City Chiefs star cornerback, Trent McDuffie. The Rams have since signed the All-Pro to a four-year, $124 million contract extension.<\/p>\n

Besides, the Rams have $33.8 million in cap space tied up with receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, the latter of whom is in line for a massive contract extension.<\/p>\n

It’s still unclear if the Patriots will add Brown, a soon-to-be 30-year-old receiver rumored to be interested in a new contract after the 2026 season. But according to\u00a0Pro Football Talk<\/a>, New England remains the favorite to land the Ole Miss product.<\/p>\n
