Officials said four people were hurt — including a firefighter — in a rowhome fire that kept fire crews busy early Tuesday along High Street in Philadelphia’s East Germantown community.<\/p>\n
According to fire officials, three people at the home were hurt in a fire that erupted at a property along the 500 block of High Street at about 7:11 a.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
They were all taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, one person was listed in critical condition and two others were listed in stable condition. <\/p>\n
Also, officials said, while responding to the incident, a firefighter was injured when he suffered burns at the scene. <\/p>\n
He was hospitalized in stable condition, officials said. <\/p>\n
When crews arrived at the scene, fire officials said, both the first and second floors of the property were engulfed in flames. <\/p>\n
As of about 7:45 a.m., crews were still working to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n
Also, officials did not immediately provide additional identifying information on those injured in this incident, nor did they say how the fire started.<\/p>\n
But, an investigation is underway, officials said.<\/p>\n
