PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Hip-hop superstar and entrepreneur JAY-Z will be returning to the stage this spring to headline one of the Philadelphia’s most popular music festivals.<\/p>\n

Organizers announced on Tuesday that the Grammy-winning music mogul will headline the 2026 Roots Picnic alongside the Roots on Saturday, May 30.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

Early access presale tickets are already available at RootsPicnic.com<\/a> with the code ROOTS26.<\/p>\n

On Friday, organizers announced that the 2026 Roots Picnic would be moving from the Mann Center to Belmont Plateau<\/a> in Fairmount Park, following complaints from fans who attended last year’s concerts.<\/p>\n

This year will include an upgraded Roots Picnic app, improved messaging services for better communication with fans, and a second entrance to help reduce lines and speed up entry.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Roots Picnic is taking place on Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31.<\/p>\n

A headliner for the second day and the rest of the musical lineup have not yet been announced.<\/p>\n
