The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> made a pivotal roster move on Sunday that will put the franchise\u2019s fan base at ease in late March.<\/p>\n

The two-time Super Bowl champions re-signed <\/a>a 31-year-old tight end who finished the 2025-26 NFL campaign with 11 receiving touchdowns.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwice pushing back the void date on Dallas Goedert’s contract has resulted in a continued partnership between the tight end and the Eagles,\u201d NFL Network’s Bobby Kownack wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhiladelphia and Goedert have agreed to terms on a one-year, $7 million contract, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer<\/a>, the Denver Broncos<\/a> were interested in signing Goedert before the Super Bowl-winning TE decided to return to Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure the Broncos are done yet at tight end,\u201d Breer wrote Monday. \u201cDenver has had interest in Dallas Goedert, and David Njoku is still unsigned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bringing back Goedert for at least another season is the smartest move the Eagles could have made over the weekend. Not only is the South Dakota State product a safe option for quarterback Jalen Hurts in the passing game, but he\u2019s also shown he can be a respectable run-blocker when fully focused.<\/p>\n

Goedert finished the 2025-26 season with 60 receptions for 591 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns, and zero fumbles. Needless to say, the Eagles should be thrilled to have Goedert back in the fold in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
