On Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m.,\u00a0 students in grades 9 and 10 and their parents\/guardians can begin preparing for the college search at a special evening event hosted by the BCHS Counseling Center. (This event had originally been scheduled for Mar. 3, which was a snow day.)<\/p>\n

Jump Start Your College Search is back by popular demand. The event will feature guest speaker Chris Doyle<\/a>, Director of Admissions at Marist University.<\/p>\n

Best advice for the college search<\/p>\n

Socrates was the wisest man in Athens because he was aware of how little he actually knew. In other words, he understood that despite all of his knowledge, there was so much more that he didn\u2019t know, hadn\u2019t experienced, and therefore couldn\u2019t possibly understand.<\/p>\n

There are more than 3,000 colleges and universities in the United States alone. Learn about the ones you haven\u2019t heard of, along with the ones you have, and you\u2019ll have a much deeper appreciation of your options.
