{"id":143158,"date":"2026-03-19T22:06:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T22:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/143158\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T22:06:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T22:06:19","slug":"man-sentenced-to-up-to-40-years-in-prison-in-deadly-allentown-shooting-lehigh-valley-regional-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/143158\/","title":{"rendered":"Man sentenced to up to 40 years in prison in deadly Allentown shooting | Lehigh Valley Regional News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ALLENTOWN, Pa. &#8211; A judge on Wednesday sentenced a man convicted of a deadly shooting in Allentown.<\/p>\n<p>Raymond Bryan Gourgue, 36, was sentenced to\u00a020 to 40 years in prison, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Gourgue was convicted on July 13, 2023 by a jury following a trial before Honorable Robert L. Steinberg of third-degree murder, the DA&#8217;s office said.<\/p>\n<p>Gourgue was convicted of the May 14, 2021 homicide of 43-year-old Jose Bermudez of Allentown. Bermudez was found shot multiple times in the 100 block of North Hall Street.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of death was gunshot wounds and the death was ruled a homicide by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, according to the DA&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ALLENTOWN, Pa. &#8211; A judge on Wednesday sentenced a man convicted of a deadly shooting in Allentown.
