Tomlinson announced Wednesday that she will seek reelection to the 18th House District.<\/p>\n<p>Tomlinson, a Republican first elected in a 2020 special election, represents the district that includes Bensalem Township and Hulmeville Borough. She is the daughter of retired State Sen. Her platform includes a proposal to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime pay to help residents \u201cfeeling the pinch of rising prices.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker called for reforms to the healthcare system to prioritize patient needs and affordability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must pass family leave and medical leave, and we need to do all of this without raising taxes while empowering our small businesses to create jobs,\u201d Tomlinson said.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Bryan Allen has <a href=\"https:\/\/levittownnow.com\/2026\/02\/02\/legislative-staffer-announces-campaign-for-state-representative\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/levittownnow.com\/2026\/02\/02\/legislative-staffer-announces-campaign-for-state-representative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced he is also running for the seat<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>A former member of the Bensalem Township Council, Allen previously served as chief of staff for State Rep.
