A Philadelphia man is in custody in Delaware for allegedly committing several burglaries and thefts at local businesses this month.<\/p>\n
58-year-old Frederick Fenton broke into an Exxon station in the 2600 block of Ogletown-Stanton Road back on March 8th and took an undisclosed amount of cash, Delaware State Police said.<\/p>\n
A week later, Fenton hit White Clay Liquors on Ogletown-Stanton Road, where he stole cash and several packs of cigarettes early that morning, and that night, he broke into Country Tobacco on the Kirkwood Highway and stole more cash.<\/p>\n
Investigators learned Fenton, who drove a dark-colored pickup truck, wore a mask when he committed the crimes, and switched license plates in an effort to avoid being caught.<\/p>\n
He’s also accused of “casing” at least one of the businesses before the break-ins.<\/p>\n
Troopers pulled Fenton over Friday and arrested him without incident–he’s being held at the Howard Young Prison.<\/p>\n
