(WHTM) \u2014 Pennsylvania\u2019s only two statewide elected Democrats can\u2019t seem to stay away from the media, and they can\u2019t seem to be any more different, either.<\/p>\n
Both Gov. Josh Shapiro and U.S. Sen. John Fetterman made appearances on popular podcasts this week. Shapiro joined former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett on \u201cPod Save America,\u201d while Fetterman sat down with venture capitalists on \u201cAll-In.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fetterman\u2019s comment that drew the ire of Democrats<\/a>: \u201cRight now our party is governed by the TDS.\u201d<\/p>\n AKA Trump Derangement Syndrome.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s the gift from heaven if you\u2019re a Republican, right?\u201d said Christopher Nicholas from Eagle Consulting on \u201cThis Week in Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/p>\n Shapiro, meanwhile, turned his attacks on members of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n \u201cPete Hegseth is wildly incompetent,\u201d the governor said. \u201cHe\u2019s like an eight-year-old playing with toy soldiers every day.\u201d<\/p>\n The rest of what Shapiro said about the secretary of defense used language that might only be safe for podcasts. His campaign team reshared the bite in a press release, anyway.<\/p>\n Chalk it up to policy disagreements, or presidential ambitions. Nicholas said \u201cit\u2019s easy to act like a tough guy on a friendly podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n Fetterman and Shapiro have both been candid about their frayed relationship<\/a>, dating back to when the former served as lieutenant governor and the latter was attorney general.
