PITTSBURGH \u2014 Westinghouse Electric Co. CTO Lou Martinez Sancho spoke about the company\u2019s nuclear energy goals during a keynote session at CMU\u2019s Energy Week.<\/p>\n
Last summer, Westinghouse unveiled that it was in the early stages of potentially building upwards of 10 nuclear reactors in the United States.<\/a> That announcement, made at CMU as part of the inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, was reflected on during the keynote by Martinez Sancho.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re working really hard,\u201d Martinez Sancho said. \u201cThose programs are not easy. It takes time to (do) contracting, to build the supply chain, to align the utilities but it\u2019s moving forward and we hope we can make more announcements.\u201d<\/p>\n She also detailed how artificial intelligence is being used to meet those goals.
