Butler Twp. Police have filed charges against a Scranton man following an early morning incident and search on Four Seasons Drive in Beech Mountain Lakes.<\/p>\n
Landon D. Davis, 29, of Oak Street in Scranton, has been charged with public drunkenness and similar misconduct in Magisterial District Court.<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched just before 2 a.m. on Thursday after a vehicle was discovered in a ditch.<\/p>\n
A witness reported that the individual was \u201con the run\u201d and in possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n
Police interviewed witnesses at the scene and determined the man was Davis and that he had been bleeding and fled into the woods.<\/p>\n
A short time later an officer observed Davis who then took off running a second time.<\/p>\n
The department\u2019s drone was then used to search for Davis who was located near a storage shed.<\/p>\n
Davis, who was intoxicated, showed signs of a head injury and paramedics from Valley Regional EMS responded.<\/p>\n
While being transported to the hospital, Davis became combative and and jumped out of the ambulance near the Hazleton City Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n
Davis was then taken into custody by Hazleton officers who remained with him in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.<\/p>\n
