On the horizon include the expansion of local establishments Malvern Buttery and Vintner\u2019s Table, as well as a move for prepared food favorite Pinwheel Provisions. Plus, local Mediterranean favorite Lentil &amp; Co. closed its doors, and Eshkol Ethiopian Cuisine opened as the <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/main-line\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Main Line<\/a>\u2019s first Ethiopian restaurant. <\/p>\n<p>Five new eateries coming to Lower Merion<\/p>\n<p>The Brew Room (Ardmore)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">The Brew Room, which is slated to open at 6 W. Lancaster Ave. in <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/ardmore\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ardmore<\/a> this summer, describes itself as a \u201cEuropean-style coffee shop with a modern edge and a Greek flair.\u201d The coffee shop will be serving up specialty espresso drinks like freddo espresso, a Greek-style iced coffee made with frothy, shaken espresso. It\u2019s a favorite of the caf\u00e9\u2019s two owners, who both grew up in Greece. The food menu will include fresh pastries, Greek classics like spanakopita and bougatsa, a custard-filled phyllo pastry, and sandwiches. Cofounder Eleni Christoforidou described the cafe as \u201ca cozy, design-forward space.\u201d The Brew Room will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>Dig Inn (Ardmore)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Fast-casual seasonal eatery <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/order.diginn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/order.diginn.com\/\">Dig Inn<\/a> is coming to Suburban Square this summer. The company confirmed it has signed a 1,785-square-foot lease at the shopping center \u2014 the same size as <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/food\/honeysuckle-expansions-caphe-amina-20250416-20250416.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">HipCityVeg\u2019s former outpost there<\/a>. Dig Inn describes itself as providing healthy, globally inspired meals\u201d that are \u201ccooked by hand using whole ingredients.\u201d Dig Inn has two Philadelphia locations in Rittenhouse and <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/university-city\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">University City<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Buttery Bryn Mawr (Bryn Mawr)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \"><a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.malvernbuttery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Malvern Buttery<\/a>, the farmhouse-style coffee shop, bakery and scratch kitchen in Malvern, is expanding to <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/bryn-mawr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bryn Mawr<\/a> in the old Kindred Collective space at 836 W. Lancaster Ave. The new location, called the Buttery Bryn Mawr, will have a full-service coffee bar, pastries, bread, savory dishes, and casual, quick-serve dinner items. The Malvern Buttery will be renovated with more seating and dinner options this summer. <\/p>\n<p>Vintner\u2019s Table (Ardmore)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \"><a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vintners-table.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Vintner\u2019s Table<\/a> is a wine bar and salumeria (an Italian term for cured meat shop or deli) with locations already in <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/phoenixville\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Phoenixville<\/a> and Wyomissing. The restaurant is planning to open at 24 Cricket Ave., the former Twenty One Pipes space, bringing its \u201csignature Italian-inspired wine and dining experience\u201d to the Main Line. Vintner\u2019s Table\u2019s Ardmore location will highlight handmade pastas and piadinas, a thin Italian flatbread, as well as wine from Folino Estate Winery and vineyard-inspired cocktails. Plans for the Ardmore restaurant originated after Vinter\u2019s Table diners from the Main Line said they wanted a location closer to home, the restaurant said. Like at the Wyomissing location, Ardmore will also be home to the Andrea Folino Boutique. <\/p>\n<p>Pinwheel Provisions (Bryn Mawr)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Lunch spot and prepared food eatery <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/pinwheelprovisions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pinwheel Provisions<\/a> is relocating down the street to 824 W. Lancaster Ave., adjacent to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute. The new location will offer indoor and outdoor seating (dog friendly) with an expanded food and drink menu. An Instagram post from Pinwheel Provisions said patrons can expect \u201cthe same ready meals you love plus tons of new local vendors.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Lentil &amp; Co. shuts its doors <\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Quick-serve Mediterranean eatery Lentil &amp; Co. closed up shop May 21 after two years serving customers in Ardmore. In an Instagram <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJupA8OpsZW\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJupA8OpsZW\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\">post<\/a>, founders Alia Sobel and Leanne DelVescovo said \u201ceconomic challenges\u201d prompted the closing. \u201cWhile this decision was incredibly difficult, we truly believe everything happens for a reason. To everyone who dined with us, supported us, and became part of our story \u2014 thank you,&#8221; the post said. <\/p>\n<p>Two openings you may have missed<\/p>\n<p>Eshkol Ethiopian Cuisine (Ardmore)<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \"><a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eshkolcuisine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.eshkolcuisine.com\/\">Eshkol Ethiopian Cuisine<\/a>, located at 36 E. Lancaster Ave., is believed to be the first Ethiopian restaurant on the Main Line. Since having arrived in the United States from Ethiopia in 1990, chef Chaltu Merga had taken on every role from a nanny to a daycare worker to the founder of a housecleaning business. This spring, she followed her longtime dream of <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/food\/restaurants\/eshkol-ethiopian-restaurant-ardmore-main-line-20250318.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/food\/restaurants\/eshkol-ethiopian-restaurant-ardmore-main-line-20250318.html\">opening a restaurant<\/a>, where she and her husband serve up Ethiopian meat and vegan dishes, as well as specialty beverages and desserts. The 32-seat restaurant is across from the Ardmore Music Hall and next door to Jack McShea\u2019s Pub. <\/p>\n<p>Jeni\u2019s Ice Cream (Bryn Mawr) <\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Premium scoop shop <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/jenis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/jenis.com\/\">Jeni\u2019s Ice Cream<\/a> <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJcIezwO2Bm\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJcIezwO2Bm\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\">opened<\/a> its doors at 840 W. Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr last month. The Ohio-based ice cream company is known for its rich flavors, from gooey butter cake to maple soaked pancakes.
