{"id":148082,"date":"2026-03-25T14:47:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T14:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/148082\/"},"modified":"2026-03-25T14:47:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T14:47:07","slug":"septa-testing-real-time-arrival-displays-at-select-stops-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/148082\/","title":{"rendered":"SEPTA testing real-time arrival displays at select stops \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.septa.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SEPTA<\/a> is looking to bring more real-time information to riders. <\/p>\n<p>The transit agency is launching a pilot program to deploy digital real-time arrival displays at selected bus and trolley stops across the city. <\/p>\n<p>Officials said the first 10 devices will be installed later this spring, with solar-powered screens that use e-paper technology to be mounted on a bus stop sign pole. <\/p>\n<p>The transit agency shared that the pilot locations were selected based on overall customer impact and geographic equity. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/SEPTA-Launches-Pilot-Program-to-Bring-More-Real-Time-Information.png\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>The goal of the new digital displays is to inform SEPTA riders when the next vehicle will arrive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers have made it clear that they want better access to real-time information, and we are listening,\u201d SEPTA General Manager Scott A. Sauer said in a news release. \u201cThis program is about putting the tools our riders need right where they need them \u2013 whether they are a daily commuter or a first-time visitor to our region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The transit agency is urging riders to provide feedback about where they would like to see these devices installed in the future by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/wwww.septa.org\/initiatives\/better-bus\/epaper\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">septa.org\/initiatives\/better-bus\/epaper\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery improvement we make to our network starts with listening to our riders,\u201d said SEPTA Chief Officer of Customer Experience and Communications Administration Lex Powers. \u201cThis program is one more way that SEPTA is investing in the people who depend on us \u2013 today and into the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SEPTA is looking to bring more real-time information to riders.
