{"id":149200,"date":"2026-03-26T16:37:06","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T16:37:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/149200\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T16:37:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T16:37:06","slug":"highmark-health-reports-674m-operating-loss-in-2025-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/149200\/","title":{"rendered":"Highmark Health reports $674M operating loss in 2025 \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 The health insurance industry\u2019s woes continued to weigh on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/organization\/highmark-health\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Highmark Health<\/a>, which saw double-digit revenue growth in 2025 but an expanded operating loss of $674 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Revenue for the Pittsburgh-based health care organization was $32.4 billion in 2025, up 11% from $29.4 billion in 2024. But another year of pressure from insurance claims and the health care industry\u2019s troubles weighed on Highmark Health\u2019s finances. The $674 million operating loss for the full year was three times as high as the $209 million operating loss in 2024.
