SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 A 17-year-old is being charged in connection to the Feb. 12 shooting and death of a teenage boy<\/a>, according to Lackawanna County District Attorney Brian Gallagher.<\/p>\n

Gallagher said 17-year-old Kamdyn Okrah will be tried as an adult for his involvement in the death of 16-year-old Dylan Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Okrah is being charged with possession of a firearm by a minor. Okrah is joined by one other teen and Mariah Cortes of Duryea, 24,<\/a> in being charged in connection to the incident.<\/p>\n

According to Gallagher, Smith, Okrah, and others were at Okrah\u2019s residence consuming alcohol and marijuana while handling a stolen gun.<\/p>\n
