PALMER TWP., Pa. – Another item has been crossed off the to-do list in bringing the first Rutter’s convenience store to the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
The project’s developer, M & G Realty of York, Pa., has purchased the land in Palmer Township that will be used for the project.<\/p>\n
The $5.28 million dollar sale was recorded on March 19.<\/p>\n
The 13-acre parcel is undeveloped farmland now; it’s near Main Street and Carson Court, an area surrounded on all sides by heavy industrial development. There’s a Sheetz convenience store less than a half mile away.<\/p>\n
The Rutter’s plans call for a 13,467-square-foot convenience store with 143 parking spaces; 50 for cars and 93 for trucks. There will also be 12 six-pump fueling stations and four diesel fueling stations.<\/p>\n
The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors approved the final land development plan in August 2025.<\/p>\n
Previously it was announced that Rutter’s was expected to open later this year or early in 2027.<\/p>\n
Rutter’s started as a dairy farm and is headquartered in York. It has about 90 convenience store locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.<\/p>\n
The stores are typically open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, and offer fuel, made-to-order food, beverages, and a number of other items.<\/p>\n
