{"id":149941,"date":"2026-03-27T10:37:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T10:37:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/149941\/"},"modified":"2026-03-27T10:37:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T10:37:08","slug":"pennsylvania-rock-band-tigers-jaw-release-lost-on-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/149941\/","title":{"rendered":"Pennsylvania rock band Tigers Jaw release \u2018Lost on You\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The chorus for the song \u201cPrimary Colors\u201d was something Walsh wrote years ago, with the song\u2019s outro originally being used as a verse.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd something just wasn\u2019t quite clicking, and everything that I tried felt kind of forced,\u201d Walsh said. \u201cWe were all just like, \u2018Yeah, there\u2019s something here, but it\u2019s not quite doing what I think it has the potential to do.\u2019\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The band then started toying with the dynamics between the verses and the chorus.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just unlocked something for me in the idea where I was like, \u2018Wow, this kind of quiet, loud, quiet, loud format really works well with this song,\u2019\u201d Walsh said. \u201cSo yeah, it just transformed it instantly into an idea that felt a lot stronger.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p>The album was recorded with Grammy-winning producer <a href=\"https:\/\/whyy.org\/episodes\/studio-2-extra-producer-will-yips-south-philly-dream-studio\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Will Yip<\/a>, a relationship still budding from their 2014 album, <a href=\"https:\/\/tigersjaw.bandcamp.com\/album\/charmer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cCharmer.\u201d<\/a> Collins said the new album\u2019s sound is \u201cas true as we could be to playing the record live.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t as tied to the tones that have classically been Tigers Jaw because I think at this point, I\u2019ve just come to this realization that no matter what, if we\u2019re making it, it is Tigers Jaw,\u201d Collins said.\n<\/p>\n<p>The new album has a \u201cpalpable energy\u201d that shares the same spirit as their earlier records, Walsh said. And while \u201ctastes evolve,\u201d the band followed \u201cwhat feels good.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the best representation of the band at the time, and it\u2019s almost like a snapshot of us as artists, as people, as a creative entity over this time in our career,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLost On You\u201d is out now through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopelessrecords.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hopeless Records<\/a> and is available on vinyl, CD and various streaming platforms.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-736545\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/tigers-jaw-3-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Tigers Jaw's album Lost On You\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\"  \/>\u201cLost On You\u201d was released on March 27, 2026, through Hopeless Records.
