(WHTM)\u2013 More than 100,000 checks will soon land in mailboxes across Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania Treasury\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced Friday that the year\u2019s first batch of Pennsylvania Money Match Checks, totaling nearly $23 million, was printed, stamped, and is being shipped across the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n
Close<\/a><\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Watch for us in your inbox.<\/p>\n Subscribe Now<\/p>\n \u201cI am excited that the first batch of Money Match checks of 2026 are on their way to the mailboxes,\u201d Treasurer Garrity said. \u201cLast year we returned more than $50 million in the program\u2019s first year and we continue to build on that\u00a0momentum to return even more unclaimed property.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pennsylvania Money Match program allows the Treasury to automatically return unclaimed property valued at up to $500 belonging to a single owner, without the need to file a claim, the Treasury said.<\/p>\n Pennsylvanians should keep an eye on their mailboxes because they might receive one of these checks. Pennsylvanians who think they received a check in error can contact the treasury at MoneyMatch@patreasury.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Treasury said unclaimed property includes dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, forgotten stocks, rebates, insurance policies, and more.<\/p>\n More than one in 10 Pennsylvanians is owed some of the state\u2019s $5 billion in unclaimed property.
