Thousands of Pittsburgh area residents took to the streets Saturday as part of a nationwide day of protest.<\/p>\n
The \u201cNo Kings\u201d protests were billed as the largest single day of action since President Donald Trump was sworn in for a second term.<\/p>\n
Speakers at the Indivisible Pittsburgh organized event at the City-County Building in Downtown Pittsburgh included Lt. Governor Austin Davis, state Rep. Arvind Venkat, Bucks County Sheriff Danny Ceisler, and Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers President Billy Hileman.<\/p>\n
They addressed the crowd about democracy, immigration, everyday affordability, voting rights, and reproductive rights.<\/p>\n
Protests were also planned in several communities surrounding Pittsburgh including Greensburg, Indiana, Johnstown, McCandless, Mt.
