The
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> held its first show of the year in
\nthe United States on Saturday night, touching down in Pennsylvania
\nfor
\nPFL Pittsburgh<\/a> with lots at stake in the middleweight
\ndivision.<\/p>\n

Here are the matches to make following PFL Pittsburgh:<\/p>\n

After defending his title against Fabian
\nEdwards<\/a> in Madrid last week, the middleweight champion said
\nhe\u2019d be open to rematching Eblen, or whoever was the most
\nimpressive in Pittsburgh. The answer to that was Eblen. A quick and
\ndecisive dismantling of Bryan
\nBattle<\/a> in the main event showed that Eblen is ready for a
\nrematch for all the marbles.
\nAfter making her successful SmartCage debut against former title
\nchallenger Sumiko
\nInaba<\/a>, Lipski da Silva should get another high-ranked flyweight
\nopponent who is also a former
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> contender in Santos.<\/p>\n

The next PFL global show will take place on April 11 in Chicago,
\nwith undefeated middleweight Newman taking on Josh Silveira in the
\nco-main event. Kasanganay and Silveira have faced each other twice,
\nwith Kasanganay coming out victorious in both matchups. If Newman
\nis able to get a win over Silveira, he could put himself in line
\nfor a high-stakes opportunity against Kasanganay or another
\nhigh-ranked middleweight. On the other side, if the PFL is going to
\nrun with Eblen vs. van Steenis 2, then Kasanganay should face off
\nagainst the most recent title challenger in Edwards. The two fought
\nin 2025 during the tournament and would offer up a great
\nopportunity at revenge for Kasanganay as he looks to cement himself
\nat the top of a loaded middleweight division.
\nIn a pre-fight conversation with Sherdog, Pergande mentioned
\nAdjoudj as a guy he\u2019d be willing to take on if he came out
\nvictorious against Julio Arce<\/a>,
\nwhich he did. Arce survived a bloody war against Pergande, even
\ncoming back and winning the third round, showing that the young and
\nundefeated Pergande needs more seasoning as he works his way up the
\nfeatherweight division. At just 24-years old, there\u2019s no reason for
\nthe PFL or Pergande to be rushed, and he\u2019ll learn valuable lessons
\nalong the way. He\u2019s shown patience while coming up through the PFL
\nearly in his career and should continue to do so following his win
