{"id":151888,"date":"2026-03-29T23:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T23:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/151888\/"},"modified":"2026-03-29T23:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T23:02:09","slug":"berks-jazz-fest-wraps-up-with-stellar-performances-and-brunch-celebration-at-hotel-reading-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/151888\/","title":{"rendered":"Berks Jazz Fest wraps up with stellar performances and brunch celebration at hotel | Reading Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WEST READING, Pa. &#8211; The curtain has come down on this year&#8217;s Berks Jazz Fest.<\/p>\n<p>The 35th annual celebration of all things jazz wrapped up on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Jazz lovers gathered this morning at the DoubleTree Hotel for brunch and a performance by Gerald Veasley&#8217;s Unscripted All-Stars.<\/p>\n<p>The festival&#8217;s director says the 10-day event is a labor of love.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To be at the final day is, it&#8217;s fantastic to see all the faces in there eating, enjoying themselves, it&#8217;s a good feeling,&#8221; Tish Davis, executive director of Berks Jazz Fest, said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>33 additional jazz events are scheduled over the next few weeks at nearly two-dozen venues across Berks County for April&#8217;s Jazz Apprecation Month.<\/p>\n<p>All of that will lead up to Rick Braun performing the music of Chuck Mangione on April 30th at Miller Center for the Arts in Reading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"WEST READING, Pa. &#8211; The curtain has come down on this year&#8217;s Berks Jazz Fest.
