{"id":153225,"date":"2026-03-31T11:59:06","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T11:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/153225\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T11:59:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T11:59:06","slug":"bethlehem-man-gets-decades-in-prison-for-sexually-assaulting-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/153225\/","title":{"rendered":"Bethlehem man gets decades in prison for sexually assaulting child"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Bethlehem man will spend decades in prison for sexually assaulting a child between 2013 and 2017, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald Haberstumpf, 79, was sentenced Monday to 21 to 47 years in prison for sexually assaulting the child in the city when the victim was between 4 and 8, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Haberstumpf was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2025\/08\/27\/bethlehem-man-convicted-sexual-assault-child\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">found guilty after a one-day trial in August of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact of a minor, indecent assault of someone younger than 13, corruption of minors and endangering child welfare.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Authorities said he knew the victim.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his prison sentence, he must also register as a sexually violent predator.
