BETHLEHEM, Pa. – An Olympian and former Lehigh County commissioner pleaded guilty Monday to harassing a\u00a0Bethlehem woman.<\/p>\n
Marty Nothstein pleaded guilty to\u00a0one count of disorderly conduct, one count of harassment, and one count of defiant trespass, according to the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n
The DA’s office said he was sentenced to two years of probation and will not face jail time. He was ordered to pay fines and was issued a no-contact order prohibiting him from contacting the woman or her family, according to the\u00a0DA’s office.<\/p>\n
In a news release, the\u00a0DA’s office said the guilty plea came after a plea arrangement between the Commonwealth and Nothstein’s defense attorney.<\/p>\n
Part of the plea agreement included the PFAs that Nothstein filed against the woman to be dropped, according to the\u00a0news release. A PFA filed by the woman against Nothstein remains in effect for one year, the\u00a0DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
Nothstein had been facing stalking and criminal mischief charges.<\/p>\n
Those charges stemmed from a series of incidents involving his ex-girlfriend in 2024.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors said after the woman broke up with him, Nothstein showed up at her house and workplace, and damaged some of her property.<\/p>\n
Nothstein, an Emmaus native, won an Olympic gold medal in track cycling in 2000.<\/p>\n
