What to know \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Center City\u2019s District\u2019s\u00a0(CCD)\u00a0popular\u00a0Open Streets\u00a0program\u00a0returns\u00a0this Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>It all begins with Open Streets: West Walnut on Sunday, April 5, 2026. It&#8217;s the first of 20 dates planned\u00a0through the end of the year, where cars will be banned from certain streets, allowing for strolling, shopping, and family fun.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers said the\u00a0program\u00a0begins at\u00a010\u00a0a.m. through\u00a05\u00a0p.m., with\u00a0street\u00a0closures starting at\u00a07\u00a0a.m. and ending at\u00a06\u00a0p.m. along the route:\u00a018th Street from Chestnut to Locust and Walnut Street from\u00a0Broad\u00a0to 19th.<\/p>\n<p>Cross streets\u00a0remain\u00a0open to cars at select intersections, including 16th Street, 17th Street, 19th Street and the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Sansom Street.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the event, retailers are set to offer exclusive discounts, in-store entertainment, or special incentives.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If interested in food and drinks, they will be sold exclusively at restaurants along the route, with many expanding their tables onto the sidewalk\u00a0and into the street. <\/p>\n<p>The fun doesn&#8217;t stop there.
