Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4: Fun Slides Blacklight Easter Egg Hunt, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. <\/p>\n Did you know the world\u2019s only carpet skate park is located right here in the North Hills of Pittsburgh? Come out for some blacklight fun. There will be egg hunting, skating and sliding, plus photos with the big bunny himself. The cost is $25. Take a break and enjoy a sweet treat, meet some live bunnies, and make crafts. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the event, but the bunny will return to his burrow at 4 p.m. Tickets<\/a> start at $22, kids 2 and under are free.<\/p>\n Saturday, April 4: Bird Scavenger Hunt at The Frick Pittsburgh, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. <\/p>\n As part of their programming during PPS\u2019s spring break, The Frick is offering a scavenger hunt on their lovely grounds. Explore while peeping birds, learning about Pittsburgh history, and enjoying spring weather. This event<\/a> is included with museum admission. The museum regularly hosts family-friendly events centered around art and history.<\/p>\n Saturday, April 4: Maker Lab Fun with Fuzzy Perler Beads at Penn Hills Library, 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n Calling all Junior Makers to the library to check out a new craft. Maker Lab activities teach kids how to use different machines and supplies to create something completely new. This week, they will explore fuzzy Perler Beads. This event is designed for children in grades K through 5th. Kids aged 6-13 will dive into the world of Rube Goldberg Machines, learning how to harness the flow of energy, using everyday objects, to create quirky, complex contraptions with chain reactions. Tickets<\/a> begin at $30.<\/p>\n Sunday, April 5: Bunny Family Fun Cruise with the Gateway Clipper Fleet<\/p>\n Enjoy great music and dancing as the DJ plays the \u201cBunny Hop\u201d and other fun songs. Kids will receive a special treat from the Easter Bunny, and there are snacks available for purchase. Two cruises set sail, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets<\/a> are $35, $20 for ages 3-12, $5 for ages 2 and younger.<\/p>\n Sunday, April 5: Noche De Ciencias STEM Event at CMU, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n Noche de Ciencias is a free, hands-on STEM event for K\u201312 students and their families hosted by SHPE at Carnegie Mellon University. The event is designed to introduce students to science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, interactive activities such as LED light-up cards, wind turbines, biomedical sensors, coding logic, and more. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where students and families can explore STEM together and learn more about opportunities in these fields.
