LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. – Authorities have released the name of the man shot and killed during a standoff with police in Lower Saucon Township.<\/p>\n
37-year-old Andrew Krasnansky died as a result of gunshot wounds sustained during a police incident on March 25.<\/p>\n
It happened in the 2400 block of Applebutter Road when officers were called to the location on a welfare check for a man, later identified as Krasnansky, reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis<\/p>\n
According to emergency call logs, the dispatcher said that the \u201cmale is brandishing a firearm.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky told 69 News Krasnansky fired shots from inside the home, prompting authorities to call in the Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT).<\/p>\n
Krasnansky was killed but authorities say no other individuals were hurt.<\/p>\n
