Tannersville, Pennsylvania \u2014 After a cold winter, the Pennsylvania ski season is practically over, as nearly every ski resort has shut down operations due to recent warm temperatures. Except for one ski resort.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Camelback Resort<\/a> detailed its snowmaking efforts, which explains why it\u2019s still open. Snowmakers have worked over the past few months on stacking snow across the mountain, particularly on the Cliffhanger and Nile Mile trails. As of Tuesday, Camelback still has 25 trails open.<\/p>\n

Camelback plans to remain open daily until April 5th. From there, it will remain open as long as it\u2019s skiable. Camelback previously said that they aim to stay until May 3rd, conditions permitting. And no, that\u2019s not an early April Fool\u2019s Joke. We\u2019re saving those for tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Lift tickets will only cost $50 the rest of the way. If you\u2019re a season passholder at another mountain, lift tickets are only $25. <\/p>\n

Typically, we see Northern ski resorts like Killington and Jay Peak staying open late. We\u2019ll see if the weather allows Camelback to make a run to May, or if its latitude hurts its bid.<\/p>\n

About Camelback Resort<\/p>\n

Situated in the Poconos, Camelback has 39 trails and 14 lifts. Its marquee lift is a bubble six-pack chairlift that opened in 2022.<\/p>\n

For those who love sliding down a hill like a penguin, Camelback is home to the longest snow tubing park in the country. Also worth noting is the Camelback Resort hotel, which features a massive indoor water park. During the summertime, Camelback is home to an outdoor water park, ziplines, a treetop adventure course, a mountain coaster, summer tubing, mini golf, and more.<\/p>\n
