Of the total investment, approximately $638 million supported water system improvements and $84 million was invested in wastewater systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">&#8220;Providing safe, clean and reliable water and wastewater service means investing in our systems every year,&#8221; said Pennsylvania American Water President Justin Ladner. &#8220;These upgrades help reduce service interruptions, modernize aging pipes and facilities and help ensure our systems remain dependable for the families and businesses we serve \u2013 and for decades to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Ladner added that in addition to helping the company continue to provide safe, clean, reliable service for customers, this level of investment generated more than 7,220 jobs throughout the economy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Pennsylvania American Water made upgrades and improvements to the company&#8217;s water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, tanks, pump stations, pipes, fire hydrants and metering equipment. Highlights from 2025 include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Water Mains: $267.9 million to install almost 93 miles of water main.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Wastewater Mains: $26.6 million to install more than 16 miles of wastewater main.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Tanks: $18.5 million to rehabilitate seven water storage tanks and build five new ones.
