Union members and labor leaders held an \u201cinformational picket\u201d at Philadelphia International Airport on March 31, demanding proper pay for airport security workers and the removal of immigration officers.<\/p>\n

The union said it was \u201cdemanding\u201d that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents \u201cleave airports nationwide\u201d and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers \u201cget the pay they deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTSA agents have been working for over a month without pay. And while the recent executive order pays them for two missed appointments, it doesn\u2019t make them whole,\u201d said Philadelphia AFL-CIO President Danny Bauder<\/a>. \u201cNot only that, but it doesn\u2019t<\/a> provide any pay for them from Monday to whenever this ends. So these workers, who are very much essential, keep showing up for work despite the fact that they\u2019re not being paid.\u201d<\/p>\n Bauder continued, \u201cBillionaires \u2026 are trying to replace those hardworking people with ICE and we don\u2019t want ICE in our community. We don\u2019t want ICE in our airport.
